We pretty much want to start a little organization or group where people that are looking for house music then can come to our channel and listen to some good underground artist, we obviously aren't pro's yet so we have lots and lots and lots to learn. So if you are interested in joining this group to learn and grow musically with us, please contact me through Email. Jecks23@live.com and send me some a track of yours and some Biography about your self and ill talk 2 my other friends and see if they want to spread our numbers in producers ;] Cheers.

Hi! I'm new to this forum, it seems to be a very good forum and I hope that I can learn many things up here!

So a little about me:
I'm a young portuguese producer that have started producing Electronic/Progressive House Music with 16 years old in the beggining of 2010, not making full tracks but only some experiences in the FL Studio to learn how to use it.
While my massive passion by electronic music was growing up increasingly, also grow the need to express myself through my small productions.

At the end of September 2010 I've signed my first release with Pandora Digital Records with "Six O'clock".
Right now I'm working hard, producing 3 or 4 tracks per month because I love what I do and have my dreams!More tracks are coming up on some portuguese labels, but I'm looking now for DJ's and producers that can listen to my tracks to give me some feedback.

hey im a dj / producer from miami fl. I started producing about 8 years ago when i started i was mainly into hip hop and breakbeat production using reason and protools, but about 2 years ago i was really digging the house scene and started to produce house on reason, about a year ago i got ableton which i fell in love with, it inspired so much and the lack of limitaions it had allowed me to take my music to another level, i only use reason now as a rewire application for the synths mainly, and fuck pro tools i dont like that overly complicated program just my opinion..so i stopped using that. I currently dj and produce every chance i get and am very serious about doing this as a career and very confident in my abilities that i will make it there, my style at the moment is influenced by electro house, dutch house, and techno.

Hey Guys

Ive been djing for just over a year now. its my passion/dream to make it as a Dj, i work around the clock doing everything i can possibly do! unfortunately the club scene in Melbourne Australia is all based on promoting, and the music is all cheese which i hate playing, lucky enough ive got a residency at one of australia's top/most respected nightclub called "eve" ive also played in a few other states in Australia and all around Melbourne. i started off doing house partys for mates and as soon as i hit 18 years old, which i still am i moved to clubs.
i have been told by some of Australia's best djs that i can make it all the way and i have the potential which is some what comforting, but atm im not producing music due too i simply cant get my head around the complicated programs, im looking at ableton courses atm. but i was wondering if i could grab some advice and some pointers on how i could go about getting a name for myself because its my dream to DJ as a career.
here is my facebook etc..

Introductions and EDM cross-pollination.

Postby voltagecontrol » Thu Mar 17, 2011 12:53 am

Hi there!

I discovered Laidback Luke through a friend of mine.

Your work is enjoyable LBL, and you are an inspiration.

Without DJs to provide that groove and set the tone for the night, the world would be a much darker place.

I am fan of electronic music, and I am learning to get better at producing it. I prefer to approach it from a different direction than a DJ, as I am a keyboardist . I am in the process of figuring out a way to combine the live performance of keys with the way someone like Deadmau5 triggers and manipulates sounds with various controllers. Not sure what to refer to that as.

There appears to be a trend amongst a lot of electronic music lately. There seems to be cross-pollination amongst genres. Some house sounds a bit like trance, and vice versa, you hear rap mixed with 8 bit Commodore 64 sounds, etc.

I heard a rumor that LBL wishes to combine house with a trancey feel. This sort of cross-pollination is something i am interested in as well, and I am curious if there is anyone else out there doing, or wants to do this.

Groove on!
