Hi. I am probably the newest member here and this is my 1st post. So as we do on all forums i would like to introduce myself 1st. My name is Jay and artist name is Jay Weather. I am based in London, U.K at the moment and i am orignally from Mumbai, India. I was a dj back home and wanted to take up music production serriously and thats why i moved to the UK. Used to play around with FL back home and so did a music production and sound engg. course here in London. Although the course was completely using Logic i applied the same techniques in FL as i was much more comfortable with it and i never wanted to leave it. Been makin bits and remixes since sometime now and i am still unsigned though. Been applying for a lot of remix competitions since i never finished my original tracks to see if i can get a break.

I am a big fan of Luke's sound but never heard about this forum until one of my fav new producers Dan Castro recommended that i should get myself registered here and since there is alot of new talent here ideas will always be shared and exchanged. I dont really have a fixed sound that i can say its mine as i have made everything you can associate with house. So i am here to make new friends, fans and meet some really talented guys and learn more and more about this vast industry.

Cheers.

Hi everyone, my name is james best, i'm a dj and producer from northern ireland. I've been djing for about ten years or so, from back in the days of vinyl, and been producing for a few years. I started playing and producing trance, and over the years the bpm has lowered, but i still like keeping the tempo up(if that makes sense???)

Love laidback Luke's music and mixing style, definately has to be seen live to be appreciated. Hopefully will get to talk to people on here that also appreciate good house music and everything around it.

I currently produce using a combination of Cubase and Ableton, although I have used Logic in the studio before. I will hopefully get some of my own productions up here as well, and please check out my soundcloud for mixes and tunes.

James

greetings!!
I'm fairly new to lukes stuff. A friend of mine introduced me to his stuff not long ago... And I loved it :D Been spending my time trying to get caught up on all that I've been missing out on!!!
Anyway, I'm John from Utah, looking forward to Luke and Chuckies show in salt lake comin up here on May 28th. (So close yet so far!!!) I'm just starting to scratch the surface on production, but I'm enjoying it so far!
Discovering that luke is so in touch with his fans just shot my respect for him through the roof. It's awesome that he posts here and gives people tips on music... much, much respect :supz:

Hello everybody!
So my name is Miroslaw. Im 17yo living in UK.
First time I get in touch with DJing software was at age of 12 or even earlier cant tell exactly  ... but it was just messing around and i keep leaving the idea of being a DJ or Producer but I was keep going back to this and learning new stuff each time I came again to do that. But from about a Year I cant stop thinking of all those music stuff; samples, songs, drums, patterns, bars and so on and on long list could i make! And I have seen that I get lost in school :/. My biggest dream is to play loud music for jumping crowd.

So I really want to join LBL community and be a part of all this!

It's unfortunate that some talent (such as Dan  ) isn't as active anymore as they were like back in the old days! But yeah, there's a lot of reading material on this forum about producing, I'd recommend visiting one of this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1735

Or the dutch one:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=892

I'd reckon using a translater on the Dutch one.
Luke was also active in these topics, so you can read what his thoughts are/were.
