I wonder if anyone knows how luke & A-Trak made that crazy sound that's like scratching in 'Shake It Down'?????? It's like a dj scratching sound, or a synth just going crazy. Anyone know how that's done?

havent heard the track but im guessing its some saw waves with plenty of portamento played in a high octave. orr if its anything like his bass kick lead its just in oddity...'distort duo 002' preset.

ok guys i remember people wqanting that like sound in the promise land remix the organy square wave thing and randomly while fuking with my synth i think i have it......welll i havent applied any FX yet on the effects chain but just using the synth it gets somewhere near so im gonna do a long winded explanation here hopefully you will catch my drift and know what sound im talking about. ok the synth is SYLENTH1

PART A
right first oscillator (a1) : SQUARE WAVE, 2 voices, octave 0 , note 0 , full volume , 0 phase, small detune like 0.30 ish, full stereo,

second osc (a2) : Qpulse wave, 2 voices, octave -1, note 0, 0 phase, 0 detune, full stereo.

these oscillators have 0 attack, full decay and sustain, really short release.

filter type high cut....input A , cutoffs hight...mess around with this. 24 db.

PART B:

(b1) : Hpulse wave, octave -1,0 note, 2 voices, full volume, 0 phase, 0 detune, full stereo,
(b2) Qpulse, octave -2, 0note, 1 voice, no phase or detune, full stereo.

bypass the filter.

ok now down the bottom 'low frequency osc 1' = sine wave at 1/16D rate, 0.33 gain
'low frequency osc 2' = noise, 1/256T rate, gain 0.38 ish, both central offset.

now the mix of the oscillators i have A pretty much at the top and B just below half way.

as for effects within the synth i have some reeverb (you can play with this) ,
chorus with full delay, 4 hz rate, no feedback, about 30% depth, 50% width and dry/wet just below half.
EQ 1 pole, 5 db bass, 110 hz bass freq, 11 db treble, and about 1600 dbtreb freq
delay....play around with this yourself but i have it widish and pretty much evenly spread with the dry/wet below halfway

play some notes in the c6 region on your piano roll (FL STUDIO) and boom its definitely somewhere near!! i think using effects in your effects chains it could be made even more so.

This should be helpful for the organ sounds. Also, a lot of synths have presets which you may want to tweak.

Hey luke!

Much respect to you, as one of the most inspiring producers. I really enjoy your work - especially the Do! Do! Do! Remix you did. I love the bassline/synth that goes down at 1:26! Could you tell me how you made that? And if you also (which you probably do) know how to make the main synth of Chuckie and Hardwell's move it 2 the drum? The one that goes down at 1:00 exactly..

I would be really greatfull if you could help me out, and keep up with the tracks! You're the best :)
