Are you talking about those big stabs that play with the kick? I think it's just finding the right sound and messing with the attack. I'm going to try to find out though, let you know my findings.

I know it's very overused now, but was curious what was being used to make all the DJ Chuckie Dutch style synths in most of his records. The siren-ish synth in tracks like Let The Bass Kick, Sexy Girl, Moombah, etc... Cheerrs

Get the "Oddity" Vst, there´s a preset called "distortduo01" which is exactly the sound you´re looking for :)

Hey guys, i'm new to posting on the forum but i've been lurking for a while, i used to produce a lot of uplifting trance but recently i kind of grew out of it and went into the house scene, i really really dig the dutch stuff thats going on right now.

I have a small question for you guys, i uploaded an example of a sound that i'm looking to recreate (links below) but i have really been having no luck trying to do it, its the squeeky / high pitched sound thats people seem to love. I use FL9 but ive tried pretty much everything with the 3xosc osc to make as that was a suggestion i got from a trance producer, set it to a high octave have a bit of detune on 2 saw waves and and set the glide and porto up to personal preference.

i'm really struggling as of late, and it would be awesome if someone could help, oh i'm going to make a soundcloud to share some of my new house tracks with you guys!

Was wondering if anyone knew the synth or how to get the sound from "Ghettoblaster" by Afrojack that comes in around 3:33. Very siren like saw-ish sound with the filters opening and has some portamento

Sorry, i'm not Luke but nonetheless here's a little feedback.
It could depend on the DAW you are using and instruments or plugins available. For example, I'm using Reason 4 which has great piano samples in the NN-XT and with added effects can get very nice soulful sounds. Luke is using Ableton which I'm not an expert on sorry. But if you don't have any preset piano samples available it's not hard to find good free wavs on google or even sample some yourself. The effects are key and can do a lot to the sound.
