Built it over time. The G5 I got for free from work (they all needed intel-based macs for bootcamp), just about everything is b-stock or second hand.

The most expensive part I guess is the Ensemble which was $1500.

I'm guessing you like deadmau5 (for people who do not understand my comment, take a look at his studio again).

My studio are 2 screens, 6 crappy monitors, headphones and a television

This isn't my setup, i mean i have the same exact one, but i found this pic off the internet. KRK's are a beautiful thing, they're very loud, and crystal clear even at high volume, I've blown both of my monitors and stopped using them for a few months, then out of the blue they started working like they brand new again  KRK sub's are great 2, if you set the volume knob on the back to a little below -6dB, it will drop bowel pressure with no distorted BS even at high volume :D

Seems like this topic died a bit, though seems interesting on seeing different home studio's..

Mines very basic but works pretty efficient:
Image

- Macbook Pro + extra screen (with Logic Pro 9)
- NI Audio 8 DJ, which I use also for traktor scratch
- KRK VXT6 + Volume Knob (TC Electronic)
- KORG NanoPad
- Sennheiser HD-25

and on the side Pioneer CDJ-1000mk3 and DJM-800

I do have an 8 octave keyboard as well, but I don't use it a lot..
I guess my next update should be a smaller keyboard, the big one serves
as a piece of furniture/piano in our living room.

I use mainly Ableton Live 8 for cut/paste edits and Logic Pro 9 for more advanced work and remixing :)
I'm now using Logic for a year and still happy to learn new things every day along the way when needed!

I hope in the near future to create a track and sound of my own in stead of doing remixes.
