I see youre verrry interactive with your fans on twitter. Doesnt get a little out of hand? Do you ever have to end up blocking some of your fans?

LBL,

I attend the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario....You were absolutely unreal at the Halloween show at London Music Hall....You are by far the best performer I have seen...all my friends agree....Can we look forward to any shows in Canada and specifically Ontario in the near future???? Come back to London!!!! it will be crazy!

I have the CDj 2000's and just wanted to know what brand does LBL use for the USB stick or and the sd cards with these machines. If anybody knows let me know. I am trying to figure out which brand might the best to use. Thank you.

It doesn't really matter what sticks you use. It's just bytes, 0 and 1's.

Not every sd card/usb stick is able to transfer (read/write) those bytes at the same speed. So this could matter to you. Maybe not noticeable inside CDJ-2000's, but it could be noticeable when you are reading from them, or writing to them from your computer.

The CDJ-2000 has no USB 3.0 controller, so it shouldn't make a difference if you use USB 2.0 devices. On other devices (with USB 3.0 support) it's faster indeed.

Hey Laidback Luke,

I just wanted to know if you do anything special to master your tracks to make them sound better. I tried tackling mastering on my own, but it seems like there is just so much to know. So do you have any tips or advice for mastering?

Thanks!

It's actually very simple: Take three tracks you think sound the fattest. They will be your reference tracks.
Now, try and figure a way to include them in your DAW, or in your track but make sure they are NOT going through your
master output channel!

Try to switch between those tracks and your tracks to hear the difference in an instant. Just by using EQ on your master
output (before the signal hits your end limiter), and trying to match your EQ to the reference tracks will make you
a good master.

If your track sounds similar to the reference tracks EQ-wise, you know your track will sound fat everywhere!
