I want to say that I'm new to this forum, and also want to say that this forum is amazing I have learned a ton from it, thank you to everyone who posts in it. I have been reading over the posts in this forum for about three months now and don't think that my question has been answered anywhere and I apologize in advance if it has and if my question has been answered can someone please post the link.
Okay, so here is my question. So Ive noticed that many producers use the plugin Sylenth1 ... I have already invested in Native Instruments Komplete 8 (which includes Massive, FM8, Absynth so on, I'm sure most of you know this). So my question, is it worth it for me to go and also purchase Sylenth1 or can most the sounds from Sylenth1 be made in FM8 or Massive? And also what would be the advantages in owning Sylenth1 compared to Massive or FM8.
Thanks in adavance

1.How many db is normal to the master output, with and without peaks?
2.How can I make clap and snare clear, what tricks do you use?
P.S. This forum is pumping a little bit of my skills in English language

When I hold the s key on my laptop it plays the sound I want (midi key d3) but when I put a note into my midi track the same note doesnt play. This is in ableton btw
I just checked this on Ableton and Massive (1.3.0) and it sounds fine to me, They both play the same sound o.O
I dunno what it is then, its just annoying because I really like the sound
Have you checked to make sure the velocity is the same value? Instead of drawing the note into the piano roll record it while pressing the s key that should ensure you have the same velocity at least
Done that too, still no joy

1. -8db to -3db is good, depends on the master you need.
2. As it is stated above, if its not a clean sample, there is not much you can do. You can build your own snare sound with a drum synth if you want a clear one hehe.
